This class is a summer tradition at the studio and so much fun. A week long adventure filled with creativity, fun, camaraderie, and brushing up on your drawing & painting skills. Students will fill the pages of their sketch book with expressive imagery and masterpieces, as well as finish a canvas painting, watercolor, pen and ink drawings, and more. We will journey in the harbor to draw and paint, as well as do several drawings and paintings in the garden, and go to galleries to draw. This will be a fabulous class filled with creativity.

Join us for an exciting 3-day workshop where students will design their own framed stained glass mosaic, as well as create garden mosaic rocks. The finished masterpieces are gorgeous! (Students should bring a healthy lunch with them)

Put on your cowboy boots and get ready for an artful ho down! This super fun week will be all about farm animals and the playful art we can create, as well as the wonderful drawings, paintings, sculptures, and mini farms we design using a variety of inspiring materials.

We will start off the week having one of my favorite visitors of all time. The very handsome, prize winning, “Marty” the rooster, will join us with his Queen Evey, for a day of drawing and getting us in the mood to embrace farm life for the week. Friends will then design farm animal art in sculptures, drawings, paintigs, and have a grand time combining Art and Farm animals.

An inspiring class exploring clay techniques, and major creativity. This class will be incorporating the themes of the ocean and seaside adventures: Cool whales, sea serpents, dolphin sculptures, sea life, turtles, tropical fish will become amazing works of art. As well as a mini lighthouse with a melted glass surrounding. Lot’s of unique creations on and off the wheel. Students will have the opportunity to work on the pottery wheel designing incredible ocean themed ceramics. If you love to work in clay, this class is a must for you. Roll up your sleeves and get ready for mess. If you have a personal theme you would like to explore that is welcome.

A week filled with enchanted art using a variety of art mediums. Every year we have an enchanted class and this year we will be adding in all sorts of sparles, and magical art. Get ready for an incredible time. This class is tailored to please everyone. There will be plenty of projects with wizards and dragons, as well as fairies and unicorns (you can take your pick on a theme). We will touch on fantasy in a variety ways. This class will take on the flavor of magic, creativity, and enchantement. Fairy and wizard houses, dragons, unicorns, wizards, sun and moon wooden sculptures, wishing wells, enchanted forests, magic forest, fairy art, sparkling lanterns, and more. add wire work and make a stunning masterpiece.

Every summer it is a tradition to have an ocean inspired class. This year it will be brimming with many of my favorite things. We will design really cool sea creatures, dazzling ocean batik pillows or wall hangings, amazing ocean resin pieces, sea life sculptures, mermaids, lighthouse scenes, sea glass art, and more. Many art mediums will be explored including sewing, wood, mixed media, clays, and lots of sparkles, gemstones, and sea glass. Every year I find a surprise project to add to this adventure. Last year pirate week was such a hit we will incorporate designing a treasure chest into ocean week and having a treasure hunt.

Animals large and small will be created in this cool class of original art. Friends will create real and imaginary animals and write stories and create books to go along with their inspired creations. Many art mediums will be used to create funky friends including: Clays, Paper mache, mixed media, painting & drawing supplies, and more. If you love animals, storytelling, and creativity, this class is for you.

During this incredible week, we will draw, paint, and explore. We have the perfect location to go on walkabouts in the harbor, as well as a few local field trips, to create masterpieces on location. Weather permitting we will journey to the lighthouse, and possibly worlds end and other stunning locations to draw and paint. This will be an extraordinary week of art, camaraderie, and exploration. 

This class is a great summer class, and always a favorite. Students will have their own sketchbooks for drawing, and all finished masterpieces will be on canvas, watercolor paper, or framed, as well as pen and ink drawings, and illustrations. We will also meet at the lighthouse for a day of drawing, if weather permits.
